Dear Parents,
It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as the Headteacher of Nightingale Primary and welcome you and your children to what I am sure will be a very busy and exciting term – it always is at NPS!
Firstly, let me begin by saying what a privilege it is to lead this school in its next era, leading what I believe to be a school with huge potential. I am delighted with the school’s Ofsted grading of Good and am determined to secure an Outstanding future for the school. But one step at a time! I have the highest expectations of all staff and children and it is my intention, by working together, that we raise standards in every area, helping our children to thrive personally and academically.
My priority is always to take the school forward recognising the current strengths as well as addressing areas where the school needs to improve. Annually, I will send you a survey to help with this evaluation process. Testimonials from previous years can be viewed under our Parent section of this website. This evaluation process will ensure that we are able to meet the needs of all our children to achieve the very best in their academic, emotional and social development and I value your input in this.
For those of you who may be new to our school, please do arrange a visit via our school office. You will find a warm and welcoming school full of children with a sense of pride who are happily engaged in well-planned purposeful activities across our vast and well-resourced site. We are learning more about our new values of Respect, Courage, Compassion and Friendship, chosen by the whole school community. Their positive impact will underpin all the work we do.
